Emerson Kimble (b. 2001) is a composer based in California. He has written music for symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, mixed chamber ensembles, brass ensemble, and choir. Currently pursuing a Master of Music in Composition at Cal State Fullerton, he was winner of the Sonoma State University Composition Competition (2022-23), where he received his Bachelors in Music Composition. Mentors include Pamela Madsen (composer/theorist), Thom Limbert (composition/percussion), and Brian Wilson (composer/theorist).

His music has been performed by the Sonoma State University Symphonic Orchestra and Cal State Fullerton New Music Ensemble. In addition, he has had works read by hub new music, loadbang, Brightwork new music, Bent Frequency Duo, HEX vocal ensemble, Cal State Fullerton Brass Ensemble, and the Cal State Fullerton University Concert Choir.

As the Graduate Assistant for the CSUF New Music Ensemble, Emerson is the recipient of the Bob and Terri Nicum New Music Scholarship (2024) and has contributed as an arranger, composer, trumpeter, and marketer. He has performed with Bent Frequency and Ralph Farris (ETHEL). As a vocalist, he performs with the CSUF Concert Choir and Symphonic Chorus.
